As part of our topic on Africa we have been learning about the different ecosystems and what grows there. We also had the opportunity to try some fruit and vegetables that are imported from Africa.
P5/6 have been doing lots of outdoor learning with Miss Guthrie and have been investigating the different species of birds that visit our school grounds. They have made a large display to share the data they collect with the rest of the school.
Well done to Kawa and Maria for achieving their bronze award on our tried my best chart. Maria chose to have a hot chocolate as her prize and Kawa picked ice lollies for the class.
Working with our infants during Future Friday has been great fun. This week in addition to creating lots of different structures we also made some boats from Lego and had great fun testing them to see if they would float.
As part of our recent STEM focus the pupils have had the opportunity to work with some of the other 2nd level teachers. My class have enjoyed developing their computer technology skills and are seen here having a Google race!
